1. What is Tokatlama?
Tokatlama is a free three-dimensional slapping game that runs in the browser. You slap the character on screen by tapping it; the character is thrown, squashed and springs back through a real physics simulation.
There is no download, no installation, no payment and no in-app purchase. The whole game is playable without an account; an account is only needed to save your progress, appear on the leaderboards and keep your characters.
The interface is available in Turkish and English. The game is a progressive web app, so it can be installed to a phone's home screen like a native app.
2. Who made it?
Tokatlama is made by an independent developer. There is no company, publisher or team behind it; work started on 23 July 2026 and it has been developed single-handedly ever since.
There is no advertising in the game, no in-app purchase, and user data is never sold or rented to anyone. The project has no revenue model.
3. Why it was made
It was made so people can enjoy themselves, pass the time and let off steam.
The starting thought was simple: everyone builds up frustration sometimes, and it is good to have somewhere harmless to put it down. The characters here are not real, nothing is hurt and nobody is harmed - that is the whole point of it.
The game is drawn in a cartoon style with exaggerated, comic reactions; no realistic depiction of violence is intended.
4. How it works
The stage is drawn in real time on WebGL with Three.js. The character's reaction is a spring-and-damping simulation: it is thrown away from the direction of the blow, squashes, and springs back into place. No two hits are quite the same.
Turning your own photograph into a three-dimensional character happens entirely on your own device. The photo is never sent to any server for the face-mesh step; the whole thing is done inside the browser.
The ready-made characters are served as Draco-compressed 3D models, and the character picker uses small preview copies built for that purpose rather than the full models - so opening the picker does not mean downloading eight complete characters.
If you have an account, your session is verified with a signed session key and your password is stored only as an irreversible hash (bcrypt); the password itself is kept nowhere.
5. Your data
Which data is processed, why, and what rights you have over it is set out in full in the Privacy Notice. The explicit consent asked for announcement notifications is a separate document and is optional.
You can delete your account and everything attached to it yourself, at any time, from inside the app. How to do it and what gets deleted is set out on the Account Deletion page.
